Do I need both?
The oil clears what is living in the pocket below the gum line. The paste puts mineral back into enamel that is thinning. Gums and teeth fail for different reasons. If you only want one, start with whichever matches what is bothering you.

What order do I use them in?
On oil nights: swish, spit into the bin, then brush with the paste as normal. Never the other way round — the paste is the last thing on the tooth, and rinsing it off wastes it.

Why no fluoride?
Fluoride hardens what is already there. Hydroxyapatite puts mineral back. If your dentist wants you on fluoride for a specific reason, follow that.

Why not just use coconut oil?
Standard coconut oil is a lump below 24 degrees. This is pre-liquified, so it flows on contact. Coconut oil works — the reason people quit is the chewing, not the oil.
